Introduction

These terms and conditions govern the use of the Villaverde Azores website and the agreement established between both parties (customer and company). These Terms set forth the rights and obligations of all users (“The User”), on the one hand, and Villaverde Azores – Registered Trademark (hereinafter referred to as “company”) on the other, regarding the goods/services made available on this website or any other website linked to it (link), hereinafter jointly referred to as “services.” Before clicking the “Book” button at the end of the booking process, you should read these Terms as well as our Privacy Policy carefully. If you do not agree with these Terms or the Privacy Policy in their entirety, you should refrain from making any reservations through our website and use alternative means for this purpose.

 

Use of this Site

These Terms are the only conditions applicable to the use of this website and prevail over any other conditions, except in the case of an express agreement by the company, given in advance in writing. By making a reservation, the user confirms that they have read these Terms, which they accept without any reservation. These Terms are important to both parties, as they aim to protect the user’s rights as a customer, as well as our rights as a company, and to establish a legally valid agreement between the parties involved. The user agrees that:

  • You may only use this website to make legitimate inquiries or reservations.
  • You will not make speculative, false, or fraudulent reservations. If Villaverde has reasonable grounds to believe that a particular reservation is of such nature, it reserves the right to cancel it and inform the relevant authorities.
  • You must provide Villaverde with a correct and complete email address or other contact details and accept that the company may contact you using these details if it deems necessary.
  • If you do not provide Villaverde Azores with all the necessary information, it may not be possible to complete your reservation.
  • By making a reservation through this website, the user declares that they are at least 18 years old and have the legal capacity to contract. Reservations from minors will not be accepted.

 

Service Availability

Reservations made are based on the Villaverde management system. However, the reservation is only confirmed and charged after the customer has sent the information and it has been accepted by our services. We always check the availability of accommodations, and if available, the customer will receive a confirmation email as well as the corresponding initial charge.

 

Formation of the Contract

The information contained in these Terms does not constitute a sales proposal but merely an invitation to negotiate. No contract will be established between Villaverde and the user without the terms being accepted by the former (regardless of whether a debit has been made to the user’s account). If the reservation is not accepted by Villaverde, no amount will be charged to the customer’s credit card. To make a reservation on our website, you must follow the online purchase process and click the “Book” button at the end of the process and after entering all the banking and personal information. You will then receive an email confirming that your reservation has been received by Villaverde Azores. Any reservation is subject to acceptance by our services. The purchase and sale contract between Villaverde and the user will only be formalized with the communication of the Reservation Confirmation.

 

Reservation Refusal

Villaverde Azores reserves the right to withdraw any offer on its reservation page at any time. Villaverde will not be liable to the user or any third party for the withdrawal of any offer listed on this website. Villaverde Azores may also refuse any reservation. If any amount has already been paid, and Villaverde is responsible for this cancellation, the user will be entitled to a refund of this amount. Villaverde Azores will not compensate for any cancellations/refusals of reservations by the administrative part (company).

Right of Free Resolution by the User and Cancellation of Reservations

The user may cancel their reservation under the terms presented for each of the rates included in the reservation, considering the “Strict” cancellation policy, as the following terms will be considered:

  • The customer wishes to cancel within the first 48 hours after the reservation confirmation? – No amount is charged by Villaverde Azores.
  • The customer wishes to cancel the reservation when there are between 30-16 days before the check-in day? 50% of the total reservation amount will be due;
  • The customer wishes to cancel when there are less than 15 days before the check-in day? – No amount paid to Villaverde Azores will be refunded.

Check-In and Check-Out Rules

  • Check-in: Check-in can be made from 2:00 PM. Please inform us in advance of your expected arrival time.
  • Check-out: Check-out must be made by 10:00 AM. Guests are requested to leave the property with dishes properly washed and garbage in the specific containers (outside the property).

Price

Except in the case of an obvious error, the price of the services will be as indicated at any given time on our website. Although Villaverde Azores strives to ensure that all prices indicated on the website are correct, errors may occur. If Villaverde finds that the price of a reservation listed in a reservation is wrong, it will inform the user as soon as possible, giving them the option to reconfirm the reservation at the correct price or cancel it without any detriment to either party. If it is not possible to contact the user, the reservation will be considered canceled, and the user will be refunded the amount already charged. The prices indicated on this website include VAT at a rate of 4%. Prices are subject to change at any time, but except as noted above, such changes will not affect reservations for which a Confirmation has already been issued.

Payment and Security Deposits

Payment can be made by credit/debit cards using the STRIPE Gateway. To minimize the possibility of unauthorized access, your card data will be encrypted and will not be seen or used by reservation agents or any other party. Payment authorization must be given when placing the reservation. No debit will be made to your card until your reservation is confirmed. By clicking “Book,” the user confirms that they are the cardholder and accept the terms and conditions of the sale. The card details will be used in case there are damages to the property that were nonexistent at the time of check-in, whether due to the lack of material, damaged equipment, or consumption of products available for payment.
